Alzheimer's Association
Up until 15 years ago, you could rarely find the word "Alzheimer's" in the dictionary, encyclopedia or medical text. Fortunately, that's yesterday, thanks to a group of family members who united together in 1980 to gather information and focus national attention on their loved one's illness. These pioneers were the founders of the National Alzheimer's Association.
